I just called Medco to order a refill for my wife on a prescription that was originally placed on 9/24/08 with three refills remaining. The auto system wouldn't honor the request. I got in touch with a real person at Medco and was told that the necessary info had not been transferred to the new ID number. He took all the info again and then ended the conversation saying that the refill would be filled within seven days.
So, word to the wise; don't trust that the Medco info for your under 65 spouse was successfully switched over as you might have been led to believe. If you have refills from '08, call them at (800)988-4125 to insure that you'll have no problem getting your prescription filled in time.
