James Martin Corley was born in New York City in 1939 to Joseph Martin Corley and Sylvia McKenna Corley.
He attended St. Benedict's Prep then graduated from Villanova University in 1961. While at Villanova, he met his wife Mary Ann who he was married to for 51 years.
After graduating from college, he enlisted in the Coast Guard and left with the rank LT. JG.
Shortly after his discharge, Jim was hired by T.W.A. and had a flying career of 33 years ending in the rank of Captain. He was one of the crew which brought back the hijacked plane from Beirut in 1985, and was also featured in the NY Times advertisement as a crew representative.
Additionally, Jim was the owner and President of American Service Company, an aerial lift supplier in Piscataway, NJ. He sold this business in 1997. Jim was an avid tennis player, golfer and skier.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Judd Corley, his daughter Susan Corley Proulx and husband Art, son James Judd Corley and wife Michelle, and son Scott Joseph Corley and wife Sheila.
