 - - Ernest R. Meyer passed from this world to the next on Wednesday November 5th at home with family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.

Ernie was born in San Francisco on April 25, 1936 to Ernest O. Meyer and Roberta L. Meyer on April 25, 1936. He attended George Washington High School, graduating in 1953.

Ernie served seven years in the Air Force, beginning in the Aviation Cadet Program, ultimately becoming a Captain. In 1958 he met and married Gay Cribbs, the love of his life for 56 years. After the Air Force he flew for TWA where he worked his way up from Flight Engineer to his retirement as a 747 Captain flying internationally.

He retired from TWA in 1991 and became a full-time "grape-grower"; loving the land, work and peace he found in farming. Ernie was a classy guy and a friend to all including Bill W., always having a story to tell. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace dear man.

Rest im Peace, Captain Meyer
