I have heard about this alternative to airline travel in recent years, but it seems to be gaining popularity among more affluent and frequent travelers. If I were in the financial circumstances of some of the people depicted and I had any interest in travel I'd take a close look. The safety factor would be a concern (1.27 accidents per 100,000 hours vs. 0.155 crashes per 100,000 hours for commercial airlines), but I would be tempted to take that small additional risk if the advantages are accurately described in the article. Of course that's easy for me to say, having no intention of ever traveling more than 100 miles from my little cabin in the hills again.
