I was watching CBS news last night. They had a story about how the Marines are testing a helicopter, a Huey UH-1, to fly by remote control. To me, if you can get a helicopter to fly pilotless, commercial airlines will eventually follow.

The story is about 7 minutes into the broadcast.

How much authority will the dispatcher have over an operating flight? What happens if the plane looses the signal? Will the plane return to home base? What a mess that would create for crossing the Atlantic.
