I recently did a road trip to Sandy Hook, NJ to sit on the beaches while JFK traffic flew overhead. It must have been something to watch all those 727's and 747's arrive. I usually sat at Jones Beach many years ago. But anyways.....

I have been wanting to visit Floyd Bennett Field and because I was fairly close, I drove over to check it out. Mostly to see if there was anything on Howard Hughes. The main terminal had a very tiny museum with artifacts and pictures. Mostly about Floyd Bennett. But there were a couple of pictures for Howard and TWA.

This is the terminal.
 -

A TWA DC-1 refueling.
 -

TWA artifacts.
 -

And Howard Hughes Lockheed Super Electra.

It was such a hot day. I went out to Hanger B where the restorations are done. It was closed due to repairs. So I watcedh JFK traffic. It was worth the stop.
