I am the newsletter editor for our EAA Chapter in Albuquerque, NM and an amateur aviation historian. I am researching the History of the Rose & Rhinehart-Rose Parrakeets. I am looking for more information on two former Airshow pilots who flew Rose Parrakeets. I was wondering if anyone is aware of any historical information, photographs, newspaper articles, airshow flyers or anecdotes about them?

1. Bill Fischer from Dekora, IA who flew Rose Parrakeet (NX29111) at air shows in the 40s? Bill Fischer died in a crash of this airplane at an airshow in 1949.

2. Doug Rhinehart from Farmington, NM who owned and restored at least three Rose Parrakeets, was active in the Antique Airplane Association, flew Rose Parrakeet (NC14881) "Ramblin Rose" in airshows in the late 60s and early 70s and later manufactured several Rhinehart-Rose Parrakeets under FAA type II certificate. Doug died in a non-airshow crash in 1978. I have been working with his son and local aviation buffs and have a great deal of info about him, but would welcome any additional info anyone could add.
