Paul Cording Olsonwas born March 4, 1925 in Belvidere, Nebraska. He was the son of Bob and Martha (Cording) Olson. He died in Arlington Heights, April 22, 2015.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carla (nee Michelsen), son John and daughter-in-law, Jane, and sister Ruth McDevitt (Paul), also his sister-in-law, Marietta Long and her children, Laura Long and Jim Long. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Loretta Olson.

A graduate of the University of Nebraska, he served with the Navy Seabees in the South Pacific during World War II and in Navy Air during the Korean Conflict. He was a pilot for TWA for 33 years.

Paul enjoyed wood working and carving, and building furniture and houses and Olson Airport. He served on national and local Lutheran Church boards.

A Memorial Service will be at Bethel Lutheran Church, May 9 at 2:00 P.M., preceded by visitation at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, 3839 W. Frontage Road, Palatine, IL 60067.
